What We Believe

1.   The Bible and It's Authority.
We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired by
God.  The Bible is completely infallible and inerrant.  The Bible is the final
authority in our faith and conduct and is the supreme standard by which all creeds
and opinions shall be tried.  (II. Tim. 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21)

2.    God and His Existence.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and
the Holy Spirit.  (Exodus 20:2-3; I Cor. 8:6)

3.    Jesus Christ and His Birth.
We believe that Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, was begotten by the Holy Spirit and
born of the virgin Mary.  Jesus Christ is the Son of God and God the Son.
        (Isaiah 7:14; John 1:14)

4.     Jesus Christ and His Work.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, as a representative and substitutionary
Sacrifice, died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that all who believe in
Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.  (John 3:16; I Cor. 15:3)

5.    Jesus Christ and HIs Resurrection.
We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ, in
His ascension into Heaven, His present life there for us as High Priest and
        advocate.  (Matt. 28:6-8; John 20:27)

6.    Jesus Christ and His Return.
We believe in the imminent, literal, personal, and pretribulational return of the Lord
Jesus Christ.  At that time the resurrection and transformation of the saints of
God, also known as the Rapture, will take place.  We also believe in the return of
Jesus Christ in glory after the Tribulation to reign on earth for one thousand years.
        (I Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 20:6)

7.    Man and his Need.
We believe that man was created in the image of God; that through sin man
incurred both spiritual and and physical death.  Consequently, man is totally
depraved, alienated from God, under His righteous anger, and in need of the new
        birth.  (Gen. 3:1-6; Rom. 3:10-14)

8.    Man and Salvation.
We believe that, by the grace of God, all, who in repentance and faith recieve the
Lord Jesus Christ, are born again by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children
of God.  Such are sealed unto the Day of Redemption.  Nevertheless the believer
commanded to be filled with the Spirit moment by moment. (Eph. 2:1; 8-10)

9.    Man and his Future.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, in the everlasting
blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost in
the Lake of Fire.  (Rom. 6:23; Rev. 20:11-15)

10.    The Church and Separation.
We believe the Church must not knowingly support or cooperate with an individual
or organization that is a member of, or in support of, the World Council of
Churches, the modern Charismatic Movement, those of Hyper-calvinist persuasion
or other practices in conflict with the doctrinal stand of this church.
        (I Cor. 6:17; Gal. 1:8-9)

11.    The Church and its Distinctives.
We belive in the following Baptist distinctives that are based on Bible doctrines
and have historically been held by Baptists throughout the ages.
        >Biblical Authority in all matters.
        >Autonomy of the local church.
        >Priesthood of all believers.
        >Two ordinances, baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper.
        >Individual soul liberty.
        >Saved, baptized membership.
        >Two offices, the pastor and deacons.
        >Separation of church and state.
